Substandard Disability Income

If you or your client have been declined for Disability Income Insurance, please do yourself a favor. Contact us. We may be able to pleasantly surprise you.

Of the cases that we review that have previously been declined elsewhere, we are able to offer coverage better than 85% of the time.

What are we are looking for?

Applicants for Disability Income coverage who are actively working a minimum of 30 hours per week at their regular occupations for the past year.

Applicants who may be uninsurable elsewhere, but who are hard-working, diligent persons, able to work full time without losing time from his/her profession or job, and who are not chronically ill.

Who are we looking for?

Applicants whom you believe to be Uninsurable due to a Medical or Occupational problem.

Applicants who have a policy containing an Exclusion Rider on a pre-existing condition, who would prefer a policy without the pre-existing condition being excluded.

Applicants who are self-employed and using their residence as their primary place of business.

Some of the more Challenging Occupations we will consider include:

  • Artists
  • Chimney Sweeps
  • Commercial Pilots
  • Fishermen
  • Loggers
  • Musicians
  • Police Officers
  • Postal Employees

What should you do?

  1. Send us copies of your Declined Disability Application, Medical Examination, Medical Records, etc.
  2. Send us as much documentation as you possibly can.
  3. Give us an opportunity to evaluate the problem.

We will contact you promptly, usually with either more questions or an offer of coverage.

We prefer not to see applications from anyone who is currently disabled, unemployed due to health reasons, hospitalized, or suffering from chronic or terminal illness.
